FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ORDERS PROBE INTO KOGI PRISON BREAK

The Federal Government has ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape of some inmates from the Koton Karfe Correctional facility in Kogi State. The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, ordered the probe, describing the circumstances behind the prison break as unfortunate. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Correctional Service has confirmed the recapture of five out of the 12 inmates who escaped, with efforts continuing to apprehend the remaining seven.
