Former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun Loses Husband

Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.

Anthony died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos State, according to a statement issued by the Adeosun family.

The statement described him as a distinguished businessman and devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity and commitment to his family and community touched the lives of many.

“He lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community,” the family said.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.

The family said details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be announced in due course.

The Adeosun family also thanked friends, relatives and well-wishers for their prayers, condolences and support during the period of mourning.
