Oluremi Tinubu Urges Nigerians To Embrace Unity, Peaceful Coexistence

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to continue promoting peaceful coexistence and harmony among one another, stressing that the country’s strength lies in unity and mutual respect.

In her Eid-el-Kabir 2026 message to Muslims in Nigeria and across the diaspora, the First Lady urged citizens to remain committed to building a society founded on love, understanding, and compassion.

She noted that despite differences in religion, ethnicity, and background, Nigerians must continue to strengthen the bonds that unite them and work collectively towards achieving peace and national prosperity.

According to her, the Eid-el-Kabir celebration serves as a reminder of the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and selflessness, which should guide the actions of citizens in their daily lives.

“As we celebrate, I encourage all Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence and to live in harmony with one another. Our strength as a nation lies in our unity, mutual respect, and shared commitment to building a society where love and understanding prevail,” she stated.

Senator Tinubu also urged Nigerians to use the festive period to support vulnerable members of society, especially the less privileged, through acts of kindness and generosity.

She said extending a helping hand to neighbours and those in need would help renew hope and bring comfort to many families during the celebration.

The First Lady further called on citizens to continue praying for Nigeria, expressing optimism for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity across the country.

She wished Muslims in Nigeria and around the world a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
