A native of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nnake has built a reputation for competence and efficiency in both the private and public sectors. Over the years, she has accumulated more than 13 years of experience in finance, strategy and economic planning, positioning her as one of the notable technocrats in the state’s governance structure.
Before her elevation to the office of Secretary to the State Government, she served as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Anambra State. Her work in the ministry placed her at the heart of policy formulation and budget implementation, where she was involved in shaping financial priorities and development strategies designed to improve service delivery and advance the administration’s broader vision for growth. Her contributions in that role earned her recognition as a key figure in the state’s economic planning framework.
In addition to her responsibilities as commissioner, Nnake also served as Chairman of Solution Fun City Limited, further underscoring the confidence reposed in her leadership abilities. This phase of her career exposed her to complex organisational challenges and sharpened her expertise in strategic planning and policy advisory services.
During her time at PwC, she contributed to the development of the Anambra Vision 2070 plan, the state’s long-term development blueprint designed to guide transformation and growth over the next 50 years. Her involvement in such a major strategic document highlighted her depth of knowledge in long-range planning and governance reform.
