Chief Lucky Chukwu, a Special Assistant to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, has died.
His death was announced by his younger brother, Senator Kelvin Chukwu, who represents Enugu East Senatorial District.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 11, 2026, through the senator’s Head of Media, Amb. Dr. Ogomegbunam Success Nwoye, the lawmaker described the deceased as an astute public servant and politician.
The statement said the loss had left the family devastated, adding that Senator Kelvin Chukwu had suspended all political activities and engagements for one week to mourn his elder brother.
The senator also called on the people of Enugu East Senatorial District to join his family in mourning the deceased, described as an illustrious son of Nkanuland.
The statement concluded with a prayer for the repose of Chief Lucky Chukwu’s soul.
