Wike Says Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Is His Focus

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 remains a major focus for him as he mobilises support for the President in Rivers State.

Wike made the statement during town hall meetings with the Rumueme and Apara kingdoms in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. He urged residents to support Tinubu, citing appointments given to Rivers indigenes and development projects in the state.

The FCT Minister also criticised opposition figures including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Peter Obi. He urged his supporters to avoid internal disputes and remain focused on their political activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
