Anambra Woos Investors for Industrial City Project

The Anambra State Government has begun engaging potential investors ahead of the launch of its Mixed-Use Industrial City project.

The state Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, said the decision was reached at the State Executive Council meeting in Awka. He said discussions with investors would focus on key infrastructure and services, including access roads, electricity, water supply and security.

The council also approved integrity tests for students’ hostels across schools in the state to improve safety. It further resolved to upgrade the Material Testing Laboratory and strengthen the law establishing it.

The government also resolved to streamline law enforcement groups to prevent overlapping functions, repossess illegally occupied government lands for public projects, and hold the second edition of the “Onwa Dezemba” programme in December 2026.
