Gombe Gov Names Three Commissioners-Designate, Six Aides

Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of three Commissioners-designate, two Special Advisers and four Senior Special Assistants.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, said the governor had forwarded the names of the three commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and approval.

The nominees are Dr Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr Muhammad A. Bello.

The governor also appointed Abdulmalik Jibrin and Mohammed Nuhu as Special Advisers.

Four others — Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Abubakar, popularly known as BB Kumo, John Launa and Danlami Sanda — were appointed Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement.

The appointments take immediate effect, while the commissioner nominees remain subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly.
