Babcock University has urged its newly admitted postgraduate students to maintain academic discipline, integrity and focus as they begin their programmes.
The charge was given during an orientation organised by the university’s College of Postgraduate Studies to familiarise students with academic requirements, registration procedures and other guidelines.
The Provost of the College, Prof. Yacob Haliso, encouraged the students to prepare for intensive academic work and assured them of a peaceful and non-discriminatory learning environment.
The College Secretary, Dr Muyiwa Ajayi, urged students to familiarise themselves with postgraduate regulations, stressing the importance of compliance with academic requirements.
Ajayi said postgraduate students must register every semester and pay their fees accordingly. He added that attendance was compulsory, with students required to maintain at least 75 per cent attendance to qualify for examinations.
The University Pastor, Dr Opeyemi Oladosu, also encouraged the students to seek guidance and remain committed throughout their academic journey.
Postgraduate coordinators further urged the students to take advantage of opportunities provided by the university and remain focused on their studies.
