More than 500 Muslim women scholars, preachers and Da’wah leaders from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
The women, under the Muslim Intellectuals Forum, announced their support at a meeting in Kaduna on Sunday.
In a communiqué issued after the meeting, they said the endorsement was based on the Tinubu administration’s performance in education, security, infrastructure and economic development.
The group particularly commended the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFund, saying it had expanded access to tertiary education and reduced financial barriers for students.
The women also praised government efforts to strengthen security and called for continued investment in education, infrastructure, employment, security and economic development.
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya also expressed support for Tinubu’s re-election.
Sani urged the women to take their message across the northern states, while Yahaya called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 election.
