The Nigeria Immigration Service has extended its Special Passport Intervention Exercise in the United Kingdom to October 3, 2026, following high demand from Nigerians in London and Manchester.

The NIS said 1,477 Nigerians were processed and enrolled within the first four days of the exercise, with more than half already having their passports produced and dispatched.

The exercise, which was initially scheduled to end on September 19, will now continue in London and Manchester to provide more eligible applicants with access to the service.

The NIS said applicants must book appointments through the website of the Nigerian High Commission in the UK and present the required documents at their scheduled appointments.

It reiterated that the application and payment processes are fully automated and cashless. The applicable fees remain $162 for a five-year passport and $242 for a 10-year passport.

The service also stressed that no additional charges are required to participate in the intervention exercise.
