Federal Unity Colleges to Resume Monday

The Federal Ministry of Education has confirmed that all Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria will resume academic activities on Monday, September 14, 2026.

The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, said necessary arrangements had been made to ensure a safe and smooth start to the new academic session.

He said security agencies had been informed of the resumption plans and would maintain heightened vigilance around the schools and their immediate environments.

Alausa urged parents and guardians to remain calm, rely on official information and prepare their children and wards for resumption on Monday.

He also directed school authorities to work closely with security agencies and other relevant authorities to ensure an orderly and secure resumption.

The ministry said it would continue to monitor developments and take necessary measures to safeguard students and staff across all Federal Unity Colleges nationwide.
