Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has inaugurated a 17-member All Progressives Congress (APC) Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee to reconcile aggrieved members and strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The committee is chaired by former Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada.

Ododo urged the committee to engage aggrieved members, listen to their concerns and find lasting solutions to internal disputes.

He said unity was crucial to the APC’s continued strength in Kogi State, stressing that political differences should be resolved through dialogue and reconciliation.

The governor also directed the committee to identify inactive founding members and work towards bringing them back into the party.

The committee has three weeks to complete its assignment, including identifying unresolved disputes and developing a reconciliation plan for the party.

Responding, Wada assured the governor that the committee would work diligently to reconcile members and strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
