Yamal Reacts to Dembélé Leaving Him Out of Ballon d’Or Top Three

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has reacted to Ousmane Dembélé leaving him out of his top three picks for the Ballon d’Or.

Yamal jokingly suggested that Dembélé’s friendship with Kylian Mbappé may have influenced his decision.

“He’s Kylian Mbappé’s friend, right?” Yamal said with a smile, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Spanish youngster, however, stressed that he has no issue with Dembélé and respects his decision.

“My relationship with Ousmane is very good, and I understand that he wants to choose other players,” Yamal said.

Yamal also expressed confidence in his performances, saying he was pleased with what he delivered during the season.

“I’m very happy with what I delivered this year, and I’m confident that everyone watched it, even if he didn’t,” he added.

The 19-year-old has made a strong start to the new LaLiga season, scoring four goals in his first four matches, including two against Rayo Vallecano and two against Valencia.
