Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has felicitated Muslim faithful in Rivers State and across Nigeria on Eid ul-Mawlid, urging them to uphold peace and tolerance.
In a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, on Tuesday, Fubara urged Muslims to reflect on the virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad, including compassion and selflessness.
He prayed for good health, prosperity and continued peace in Rivers State and Nigeria.
Fubara said Rivers State remained proud of its diversity and stressed the importance of unity among people of different faiths.
He assured residents that his administration remained committed to ensuring peace, security and equal opportunities for all, regardless of religion or ethnic background.
The governor also called on residents to promote harmony, tolerance and understanding.
