More than 150 terrorists have surrendered to troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, in the past week.

The Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, said the figure was a significant increase from the more than 50 terrorists who surrendered in the previous week.

Goni attributed the development to sustained intelligence-led operations and intensified military pressure on terrorist networks.

He said the operations were disrupting terrorist movement and supply chains, with weapons and ammunition recovered from some of those who surrendered.

He added that Operation Hadin Kai would sustain pressure on terrorist groups and disrupt their recruitment and support networks across the North-East.
