The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Saturday, August 22, 2026, for its primary elections to select candidates for four restored State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi states and legislative bye-elections in Gombe, Bauchi, Delta and Kano states.
The party announced this in its timetable and schedule of activities signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.
The affected State House of Assembly constituencies are Abraka, Isoko North II and Ughelli South II in Delta, and Yagba West II in Kogi.
The APC also listed the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Gombe, Disina and Sakwa in Bauchi, Udu in Delta and Dawakin Kudu in Kano for the legislative bye-elections.
According to the timetable, the sale and submission of forms will end on August 20, while screening and appeals will take place on August 21 before the primaries on August 22. Election appeals are scheduled for August 24.
House of Assembly aspirants are to pay N6 million for expression of interest and nomination fees, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay N10 million.
The party said female, youth and physically challenged aspirants will pay the expression of interest fee and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fee.
