Former South-East spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, Denge Josef Onoh, has commended Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah for what he described as significant progress in security, healthcare, industrial development and job creation.

Onoh said the Mbah administration’s policies were aligning with President Tinubu’s vision of strengthening security, improving healthcare and promoting production and investment.

He particularly praised the state’s technology-driven security measures, including the Security Command and Control Centre and the deployment of 150 artificial intelligence-enabled patrol vehicles equipped with cameras.

Onoh also highlighted the Enugu State Security Trust Fund, which he said had raised more than ₦3 billion, as well as the government’s efforts to end the illegal Monday sit-at-home order.

On healthcare, Onoh commended the construction of 260 Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state’s 260 wards. He also cited the upgrading of 51 secondary healthcare facilities and the completion of the 300-bed Enugu International Hospital.

He described the revival of dormant industries as another major achievement, highlighting the reopening of Nigergas Company Limited in Emene after more than three decades.

According to Onoh, the plant produces medical oxygen and industrial gases and has created more than 100 direct jobs, with further employment expected through related businesses.

He also cited efforts to revive Sunrise Flour Mills and United Palm Products Limited through private-sector partnerships, saying the initiatives could boost production and employment.

Onoh urged other states to adopt similar approaches by combining investment in security, healthcare and industrial development to improve citizens’ welfare.

He also called on residents of Enugu State to support President Tinubu and Governor Mbah in the 2027 elections, saying their policies were complementary.
