President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday inaugurated two new Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and six Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC) following their confirmation by the National Assembly.
The swearing-in ceremonies were held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by the President.
The newly inaugurated RMAFC commissioners are Amina Ibrahim Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar, representing Kaduna State.
The President also administered the Oath of Office to six new Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission. They are Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti), Nasiru Mu’azu (Zamfara), Dr. Isaka Alada Yahaya (Kwara), Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa), and Hon. Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo (Sokoto).
The inauguration took place ahead of the Federal Executive Council meeting, during which ministers considered memoranda on key government policies and programmes.
Among top government officials present at the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, members of the Federal Executive Council, and other senior presidential aides.
