Here’s a rewritten and slightly extended version suitable for publication or broadcast:

Tension is gradually rising in Jinrinwo Community in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State as residents have appealed to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intervene in an alleged move to remove their traditional ruler, Oba Olawole Ajimosun.

The appeal was made by members of the Jinrinwo Descendants Union, who accused certain government officials of attempting to install another monarch against the wishes of the community. According to the group, the alleged move has generated concerns among residents who fear it could disrupt the peace currently enjoyed in the area.

The union explained that Oba Ajimosun emerged as the Oloja of Jinrinwo in 2021 following his appointment by the Olugbo of Ugbo, who served as the prescribed authority in the selection process. They further stated that the chieftaincy stool later received official recognition from the Ondo State Government in August 2022 after recommendations and memoranda submitted during the Ajama Commission process.

According to the community leaders, the recognition elevated the traditional stool and formally confirmed Oba Ajimosun as the Olu of Jinrinwo. However, they alleged that a fresh process began in September 2025 aimed at replacing the monarch with another candidate said to be unfamiliar to many residents of the community.

The group maintained that the matter is already before a High Court in Okitipupa and warned against any action capable of undermining the judicial process. They urged the state government to allow the court to determine the dispute while also calling on residents to remain calm and law-abiding.

Community members expressed fears that any attempt to forcefully install another traditional ruler could trigger unnecessary tension in the coastal community. They appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to ensure fairness, transparency, and respect for due process in handling the sensitive chieftaincy matter.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Government has denied allegations of interference or imposition in the kingship issue. Officials insisted that due process was followed and maintained that the government had no intention of creating unrest within the community.

The development has continued to attract attention across the area, with many residents hoping for a peaceful resolution that will preserve unity and stability in Jinrinwo Community.
