TIGHT SECURITY AS COURT BEGINS HEARING ON EMIRATE TUSSLE

A heavy presence of tight security in and around the Federal High Court complex in Kano has been reported as the hearing on the emirate tussle begins.

Policemen and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) were observed to have manned their vehicles in strategic places around the court, restricting movement.

Also, there is a diversion of vehicles passing through Court road leading to Zoo road and Gyadi-Gyadi area.

It will be recalled that a Federal High Court in Kano had issued an order stopping the Kano State Government from enforcing the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law.

The nationwide strike over minimum wage had, however, affected the Court sitting on Monday.
