EID- EL-FITR CELEBRATION

Muslim Faithful across the country have besieged the various Eid grounds to offer prayers as part of activities to mark the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

At the various Eid grounds, Rakat prayers were offered by the presiding Chief Imams.

Ramadan fast is one of the five pillars of Islam.

President Bola ahmed Tinubu was among the worshippers at Obalende Eid ground in Lagos, while vice president Kashim Shettima joined other faithfuls in maiduguri.

The federal government has earlier declared a three day holiday to enable Muslims to enjoy the celebration.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the major holidays celebrated by Muslims which commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset.
