Tinubu Mourns Emir of Zurmi

President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences over the death of the Emir of Zurmi, Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi, Alhaji Bello Sulaiman.

The monarch died on Monday, five years after ascending the throne.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described the late emir as a respected traditional ruler who provided wise leadership during a challenging period.

The President commended Sulaiman for his efforts in promoting peace, unity and resilience in the Zurmi Emirate and Zamfara State, particularly amid security challenges.

Tinubu prayed for the repose of the monarch’s soul and for strength and comfort for his family, the Zurmi Emirate Council and the people of Zamfara State.
