A school principal who was abducted alongside dozens of pupils and teachers during an attack on three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State has appeared in a new video, appealing for accurate information regarding their captivity.
In the video, the principal, Mrs. Alamu, stated that the hostages had spent 24 days in captivity and expressed concern over reports circulating about the demands of their captors.
She urged the public and relevant authorities to refrain from spreading unverified information, warning that such reports could complicate efforts aimed at securing the release of the victims.
According to her, some of the claims being circulated do not reflect the actual position of the abductors and may negatively affect ongoing discussions related to the hostages’ freedom.
Mrs. Alamu appealed for caution and responsibility in public discussions surrounding the abduction, emphasizing that the safety and release of the captives should remain the primary concern.
The video has renewed attention on the plight of the abducted pupils and teachers, whose families continue to await positive developments and their safe return.
