The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a women leader of the City Boys Movement, wanted over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
In a notice issued on Monday and shared via its official communication channels, the anti-graft agency said Tejuosho is being sought in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The statement was signed by Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, who called on members of the public with useful information about her whereabouts to report to any EFCC office nationwide.
The commission also advised the public to use its official phone lines, email contacts, or notify the nearest police station or other security agencies if they have credible information.
Tejuosho had recently been appointed as the South-West Zonal Women Leader of the City Boys Movement, where she was expected to oversee women’s mobilisation and coordination of political and civic engagement activities within the region.
The EFCC has not released further details regarding the specific circumstances surrounding the allegation.
