Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed officials to accelerate the execution of critical infrastructure projects across Osun State, declaring that there is no room for distractions in the delivery of governance.

The directive was issued during a review meeting with key officials supervising ongoing projects in major towns, including Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo and Ikirun.

Adeleke urged project supervisors to ensure the timely completion of major projects underway across the state, stressing that the tempo of governance must be sustained in the best interest of residents. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends to communities.

The governor said he had been carrying out unscheduled inspections of ongoing projects and expressed satisfaction with the performance of his team, commending their dedication.

He announced that residents of Ila Orangun would soon begin to use the new dual carriageway, describing it as part of broader efforts to modernise infrastructure across the state.

Speaking on developments in Ile-Ife, Adeleke said the historic town was on course to emerge as a renewed urban centre under ongoing initiatives. He added that residents of Iwo were already witnessing the impact of modernisation efforts, while Osogbo and other towns were experiencing significant infrastructural upgrades.

The governor directed all contractors handling state projects to intensify their efforts, warning against avoidable delays. He emphasised that the hopes of the people must not be slowed by setbacks and reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain project delivery across the state.
