President Bola Tinubu has restated his administration’s determination to defeat terrorism and strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic relationships with international partners.

Speaking at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Tinubu said his government remains focused on promoting security, economic stability, and global cooperation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all Nigerians that we will defeat terrorism. The task ahead is to move forward with clarity of purpose, guided by the Renewed Hope agenda, to build a prosperous nation,” the President said before the council went into a closed-door session.

This week’s FEC meeting marked the first since July, bringing together cabinet members to review ongoing policy implementations.

Addressing recent concerns over Nigeria’s international image, Tinubu said his administration continues to engage with foreign partners to correct misconceptions and highlight progress in security and governance.

“Despite challenges and fears, we will continue to engage with our partners. The success of the $2.3 billion Eurobond, which was oversubscribed, reflects global confidence in our economy,” he stated.

Tinubu reaffirmed that the government’s priority remains ensuring peace, unity, and national prosperity, while urging his cabinet to remain focused on delivering tangible results under his reform agenda.
