Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has signed the 2025 supplementary budget of N137 billion into law, following its passage by the State House of Assembly.

The supplementary budget allocates N126.8 billion to capital projects and N10.2 billion to recurrent expenditure.

Governor Radda explained that the additional budget was necessary to address funding shortfalls in key ongoing projects and to sustain the state’s infrastructure development drive.

He stated that the funds will be channeled primarily into completing critical road networks, upgrading healthcare facilities, enhancing schools, expanding water supply projects, and supporting agricultural initiatives.

The budget proposal was earlier reviewed and approved by the Assembly’s Committee on Appropriations, which submitted its report prior to the bill’s passage.

The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Government House in Katsina, attended by senior government officials and members of the State Assembly.
