The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja has declared that Mogajis (family heads) and Baales will be held responsible for any security breaches in their various domains henceforth.
Ladoja made this declaration over the weekend while receiving numerous Mogajis and Baales at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, the former Oyo State governor emphasized that traditional title holders serve as the Chief Security Officers in their areas and must take that responsibility seriously.
He urged them to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities or potential threats to the appropriate security agencies, stressing the importance of early intervention in maintaining peace and order.
Ladoja said, “You are the Chief Security Officers in your domains and as such, you will be held responsible for any security lapse in your areas.
“You should have the knowledge of the happenings in your environment and if you have any security challenge beyond your control, contact us, we will rise up to the occasion and assist you immediately.”
