President Bola Tinubu is set to begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States on Friday, November 6, to commission projects and attend political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he is expected to commission several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
The projects include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, Ring Road 3, the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre and ARISE Palm Resort.
Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President.
On Saturday, Tinubu is expected to proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally as part of activities to mobilise support for his re-election bid.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for the President to engage with political stakeholders, party members and supporters in both states.
