Peter Obi’s Convoy Reportedly Attacked in Calabar

The campaign convoy of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reportedly come under attack in Calabar, Cross River State.

Obi’s media aide, Ester Umoh, raised the alarm in a social media post on Wednesday, alleging that suspected thugs were attempting to attack the convoy.

“Thugs are trying to attack our convoy,” Umoh said.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after Obi arrived in Calabar alongside his wife, Margaret, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for a town hall meeting.

The alleged attack comes about two months after Obi’s convoy reportedly faced a similar incident in Benue State, where suspected thugs allegedly blocked Boko Road near the Air Force Base to prevent him from gaining access to the area.
