Security operatives have been deployed to protect campaign posters and billboards of President Bola Tinubu in Kaduna ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Personnel of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are reportedly among those assigned to guard campaign materials at strategic locations, particularly along major roads leading to the Kaduna Township Stadium, venue of the rally.

A security operative told Daily Trust that personnel had been directed to protect the materials from possible vandalism, especially at night. Police officers and plain-clothes operatives were also observed at major roads, roundabouts and other strategic locations across the metropolis.

Preparations at the approximately 8,000-capacity Kaduna Township Stadium have also been intensified, with the facility repainted and decorated with APC flags and campaign billboards featuring Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani. Security vehicles were sighted around the venue, which has been restricted to the public ahead of the event.

The chairperson of the Local Organising Committee and Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balarabe, expressed satisfaction with preparations following an inspection of the stadium. She said arrangements had been made for security before, during and after the rally, adding that attendees would be screened before entering the venue.

The event is expected to attract APC supporters, political stakeholders and governors from the seven North-West states. Kaduna State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, said mobilisation was ongoing and that hotels and service apartments across the metropolis had been fully booked ahead of the presidential visit.
