Eguavoen Targets Second Win Against Comoros in Olympic Qualifier

Super Falcons interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, says Nigeria are targeting another victory over Comoros in the second leg of their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying fixture.

Nigeria secured a 2-0 win in the first leg last Saturday and will host the island nation at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne on Tuesday.

Eguavoen said his team would aim to build on the two-goal advantage and secure qualification, stressing that winning remained the priority.

“We are enjoying a two-goal advantage, but we will try as much as possible to see how we can wrap it up by winning tomorrow’s game. Maybe one, maybe two, maybe three,” he said.

The coach added that, beyond scoring goals, he was focused on maintaining the team’s structure and overall performance.

The return fixture is scheduled to kick off at 6pm local time.
