Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has expressed condolences to President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian Air Force and families of personnel who died in Monday’s military aircraft crash in Ondo State.
Diri, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, also condoled with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, describing the incident as a tragedy that has plunged the country into grief.
The aircraft, travelling from Benin City to Lagos, crashed into a swamp in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, after air traffic controllers reportedly lost contact with it. Diri expressed solidarity with the military and bereaved families, praying for strength and comfort for those affected.
