Lagos Seals 12 Establishments Over Environmental Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across the state for alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.

The enforcement operation, carried out on Tuesday, covered areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.

The affected establishments include hotels, a church, a nightclub, lounges and other businesses. LASEPA said some were sealed over noise pollution, while others were shut for non-compliance with its directives.

The Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, in Ikotun, was among those sealed.

LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, urged businesses, religious institutions and residents to comply with environmental regulations and obtain the necessary permits.

The agency said it would continue enforcement to protect public health and promote a cleaner environment across Lagos.
