Peter Obi Mourns Olu Jacobs, Hails His Contribution to Nigerian Film

Former Anambra State Governor and presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has mourned the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs.

Obi, in a tribute shared on Thursday, described Jacobs as an embodiment of Nigerian excellence and praised his contributions to the film and creative industry.

He noted that Jacobs had a decades-long career spanning Nigeria and Britain, adding that the actor demonstrated talent, discipline, professionalism and dedication to his craft.

Obi said Jacobs’ death was a reminder of the limited nature of life and the need for people to make meaningful contributions to society through their talents and responsibilities.

He expressed condolences to Jacobs’ family, friends, colleagues and the wider Nigerian creative community, while praying for strength for those affected by his death.

Jacobs’ death was announced by his family on Wednesday.
