The accident occurred around 4 a.m. on Wednesday and involved a Mitsubishi Canter and a HOWO truck.

The Federal Road Safety Corps said eight people were involved in the crash. Four male adults died, one person was injured and three others escaped unhurt.

Preliminary investigations linked the crash to speeding and unsafe overtaking, with fatigue also identified as a contributing factor.
