Kano NDC Members May Return to APC

Some prominent members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State may return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

The development followed a solidarity visit by members of the political team of former APC governorship candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, to Governor Abba Yusuf and his deputy, Murtala Garo.

The delegation included NDC Kano State Vice Chairman, Ali Yako, and other members of Gawuna’s political team.

Speaking during the visit, the delegation said its engagement with the governor was driven by a desire to support the development and progress of Kano State.

Yako also praised Governor Yusuf’s administration, saying its efforts to transform the state were visible to residents.

The visit comes amid renewed political realignments in Kano ahead of the 2027 general elections and could affect the balance of political forces in the state.
