All On and Energise Africa have invested $4 million in solar-powered mini-grids across 19 communities in Jigawa and Bauchi States.

The project, to be implemented by Maskh Nigeria Limited, is expected to provide reliable and affordable electricity to households, businesses and public institutions in communities with limited access to power.

According to All On, the project is expected to benefit about 100,000 people by improving access to electricity, supporting local businesses and strengthening essential services.

The investment is being made under the Demand Aggregation for Renewable Energy Technology Programme.

All On Chief Executive Officer, Caroline Eboumbou, said the project would help expand energy access while supporting Nigeria’s transition to renewable energy.

Energise Africa CEO, Ray Coyle, said the investment would deliver lasting social, economic and environmental benefits to communities in both states.

Maskh Nigeria said the project would also create jobs and strengthen its capacity to deliver renewable energy solutions across Nigeria.
