Troops Disrupt Ransom Exchange, Rescue Kidnap Victim in Kebbi

Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued a kidnapped woman and disrupted a planned ransom exchange in Kebbi State.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops mobilised to intercept the ransom exchange involving the woman, who was abducted from her farm last month.

According to the acting spokesperson, Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, the terrorists fled after encountering the troops, abandoning the victim.

The woman was rescued unharmed and reunited with her family in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area.

Osoba said Operation FANSAN YAMMA would sustain operations against terrorists and other criminal elements in Kebbi State and across the country.

“We will keep the fire on everywhere the terrorists are. We will dismantle them to secure Kebbi State and Nigeria,” he said.
