Soludo Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Re-election

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, saying the victory reflects the confidence voters have placed in his leadership.

Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, was declared winner of the August 15 governorship election after polling 511,067 votes to defeat APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Monday, Soludo said the result demonstrated the trust Osun voters had placed in Adeleke to lead the state for another four years.

Soludo also commended the people of Osun for participating peacefully in the election and urged political actors, including the ruling party, opposition and civil society, to embrace peace and unity.

He urged Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to focus on development and work beyond partisan differences for the benefit of the people.
