The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has denied involvement in the alleged leakage of results from the recently concluded Common Entrance Examination.

The board also warned against defamatory statements linking its officials to the alleged leak.

In a statement issued by its Media Team in Ibadan, OYOSUBEB described the allegation as false and misleading, saying it had no role in the setting, production, conduct or handling of questions for the examination.

The board said any attempt to link its Executive Chairman, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, or its officials to the alleged leakage was unfounded.

OYOSUBEB advised media organisations and broadcasters to verify information before making allegations against the board or its officials, warning that it would pursue legal remedies against defamatory claims.

The board also clarified that complaints or inquiries concerning the conduct, administration or outcome of the Common Entrance Examination should be directed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which it identified as the appropriate authority.

OYOSUBEB said its administration remained committed to transparency, accountability and professionalism in the discharge of its responsibilities.
