The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has installed 18 Mogajis and 11 Baales, charging them to uphold the integrity of the traditional institution and refrain from activities capable of tarnishing the image of Ibadanland.

The installation ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.

Speaking through the Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Salawudeen Amidu Ajibade, and the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, the monarch reminded the newly installed chiefs that they are representatives of the Olubadan and the Olubadan-in-Council and must conduct themselves responsibly.

Oba Ladoja warned the new traditional title holders against involvement in land-grabbing activities, describing the practice as a growing concern frequently reported at the palace.

He stated that traditional rulers found aiding or encouraging land grabbing would face legal consequences, stressing that anyone caught engaging in such acts would be prosecuted.

The monarch also urged the newly installed Mogajis and Baales to be vigilant and proactive in addressing security challenges within their respective domains, noting that traditional rulers play a critical role in maintaining peace and order at the grassroots level.

A total of 18 Mogajis and 11 Baales were installed during the ceremony, which was attended by members of the Olubadan-in-Council, traditional and religious leaders, as well as other distinguished guests.

Among those present were the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Eddy Oyewole, the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Kolawole Adegbola, and the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi.
