More than 24 hours after the abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power and APC governorship aspirant, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her twin sons in Ibadan, the victims remain in captivity as security agencies continue efforts to secure their release.

The abducted woman, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, 43, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were reportedly taken by armed men during a frightening attack that occurred while she was taking the children to school.

As of the latest updates, the kidnappers had not established contact with the family or made any demands, increasing anxiety among relatives and loved ones who remain desperate for positive news.

Family members are said to be deeply worried about the safety of the victims, particularly the two young boys who are among those being held. The prolonged silence from the abductors has added to the uncertainty surrounding the incident, leaving relatives in a state of emotional distress.

Despite the lack of communication from the kidnappers, security agencies have reportedly intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims unharmed. Authorities are said to be exploring all available leads while coordinating operations aimed at locating the abductors and ensuring the safe return of those in captivity.

The victims’ husband, who is currently outside the country, is understood to be deeply concerned about the situation and is anxiously awaiting developments. Family members and associates have continued to express hope that the ongoing security operations will yield positive results and lead to the safe reunion of the victims with their loved ones.

The abduction occurred in the early hours of the day when armed assailants intercepted Mrs. John-Paul while she was transporting her sons to school. The attackers reportedly forced the victims into captivity before fleeing the scene.

The incident has further heightened concerns over the growing threat of kidnapping and insecurity in parts of the country, particularly cases involving women and children. It has also renewed calls for stronger security measures and swift action against criminal groups responsible for such attacks.

Relatives and associates of the family have appealed to security agencies to sustain and intensify rescue efforts, emphasizing the urgency of securing the freedom of the victims and ensuring their safe return as quickly as possible.
