The Founder of the One Love Family and Living Perfect Master, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has urged the Oyo State Government and security agencies to explore non-kinetic strategies in ongoing efforts to secure the release of abducted teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area.
Expressing concern over the continued captivity of the victims, Maharaj Ji emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach that combines security operations with intelligence gathering, community participation, dialogue, and other peaceful mechanisms capable of facilitating the safe return of those affected.
He noted that while security interventions remain important, alternative conflict-resolution measures and community-based engagement could play a significant role in achieving positive outcomes without jeopardizing the safety of the victims. According to him, every available lawful and strategic option should be considered in order to ensure the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers.
Maharaj Ji also commended efforts by the Oyo State Government to engage with affected communities and provide reassurance to families impacted by the incident. He described such engagements as important steps toward maintaining public confidence and demonstrating empathy during a difficult period.
The spiritual leader stressed that the welfare, safety, and well-being of the victims should remain the primary focus of all stakeholders involved in the rescue efforts. He called on security agencies, community leaders, traditional institutions, and concerned citizens to work together in support of ongoing operations aimed at bringing the victims home safely.
Speaking on the nation’s political climate ahead of the 2027 general elections, Maharaj Ji urged political leaders, parties, and aspirants to uphold democratic values and conduct their activities peacefully and responsibly.
He maintained that political competition should be based on policies, leadership capacity, and developmental programmes rather than actions or statements capable of creating division or tension within the country. According to him, democracy thrives best when all contestants are given equal opportunities to present their ideas and seek public support without intimidation or unfair advantages.
Maharaj Ji further emphasized the importance of fairness, inclusiveness, and respect for democratic principles as political activities gradually gather momentum across the country. He stated that a transparent and level political environment would strengthen public trust in the electoral process and encourage greater citizen participation.
He cautioned political actors against inflammatory rhetoric and urged them to place national unity above personal or partisan interests. He noted that Nigeria’s developmental aspirations can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, stability, justice, and mutual respect among citizens and leaders.
The One Love Family founder also called on all relevant stakeholders to promote dialogue, tolerance, and constructive engagement as the country prepares for another electoral cycle. He stressed that political disagreements should never be allowed to undermine national cohesion or threaten the country’s democratic progress.
Expressing optimism about the future, Maharaj Ji said he remains hopeful that the abducted pupils and teachers will regain their freedom and reunite with their families. He also expressed confidence that Nigerians would continue to work together toward building a more peaceful, secure, and democratic society for future generations.
