A member of the House of Representatives representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State, Bamidele Salam, has donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to support the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

Salam disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday, explaining that the vehicles were provided to campaign coordinators across the federal constituency ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.

The lawmaker, who also serves as Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, presented the vehicles during the official launch of the Accord Party campaign in Ede Federal Constituency.

According to him, the 10 buses and 150 motorcycles will be distributed among coordinators drawn from the 42 wards within the constituency to strengthen campaign logistics and grassroots mobilisation.

Salam said the intervention was aimed at improving door-to-door voter engagement and ensuring effective coordination of campaign activities at the ward level.

He urged beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly while expressing confidence that Governor Adeleke would emerge victorious in the election.

Speaking at the event, Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni commended the initiative and advised recipients to use the vehicles effectively while observing safety during the campaign period.

The Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council and Senate Minority Leader, Lere Oyewumi, described the donation as a reflection of Salam’s commitment to grassroots politics and party development.

He stated that public office should be used to create meaningful impact through representation and empowerment.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Wale Oladipupo, inaugurated the campaign committee for Ede Federal Constituency and charged members to intensify efforts toward securing victory at the polls.

The constituency campaign council is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, alongside local government chairmen and party stakeholders serving as members.

Campaign activities for the Osun State governorship election officially began on March 11, with political parties intensifying mobilisation efforts across the state ahead of the poll.

Besides Adeleke of the Accord Party, the All Progressives Congress is fielding Bola Oyebamiji, while Najeem Salaam is contesting on the platform of the African Democratic Congress.
