Former Minister of Power and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has unveiled a development blueprint tagged “Oyo Rebirth Agenda” ahead of the 2027 general election.
Adelabu made the declaration on Tuesday in Ibadan while formally announcing his intention to contest for the governorship seat under the platform of the APC.
He said the agenda was designed to restore, rebuild, reposition, and reclaim Oyo State through people-focused governance, economic growth, and large-scale job creation.
According to him, the “Oyo Rebirth Agenda” will focus on effective local government administration, grassroots development, improved security architecture, agricultural transformation, education reform, healthcare development, urban renewal, civil service reforms, and women empowerment.
Adelabu stated that governance must go beyond political promises and deliver measurable development to the people.
He added that leadership requires competence, character, compassion, and courage, stressing that he was presenting himself as a prepared and committed leader determined to deliver results for the state.
The former minister also called for unity within the APC in Oyo State, urging party leaders, stakeholders, and members to work together ahead of the 2027 elections.
He noted that unity, discipline, and collective commitment remained essential for the party’s success in the state.
