The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced that it will carry out routine maintenance on its Passport Digital Platform to enhance system performance and improve user experience.
In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, the Service Public Relations Officer, Akinsola Akinlabi, said the maintenance exercise will run from 12:00 a.m. on December 12 to 6:00 a.m. on December 14.
Akinlabi explained that during the maintenance window, users may encounter temporary service interruptions, slower response times, or restricted access to some passport services.
He noted that the exercise is necessary to maintain a secure, reliable and efficient digital passport system, adding that NIS technical teams are working round the clock to ensure that full services are restored within the scheduled timeframe.
“The Service appeals to the public for patience and understanding throughout the maintenance window,” he said.
For assistance or inquiries, users are advised to reach the NIS Support Team via email at support@immigration.gov.ng, or through its social media handles @nigimmigration on X, Instagram and Facebook.
