President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s dedication to transforming Nigeria’s healthcare system, highlighting the critical need to resolve the persistent power supply issues affecting medical facilities nationwide.

Delivering the President’s message at the National Stakeholders Dialogue on Power in the Health Sector on Tuesday in Abuja, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, emphasized that no Nigerian should lose their life due to power outages in healthcare institutions.

Tinubu noted that improving energy access in the health sector is a key component of the broader Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to decentralize energy solutions and encourage active participation from the private sector.

He assured investors of a supportive environment for business in the health, energy, and infrastructure sectors, expressing the government’s willingness to partner with credible stakeholders particularly in renewable and hybrid energy technologies.

The President also highlighted that the national Energy Transition Plan prioritizes off-grid solar and hybrid energy systems for critical public infrastructure. The plan will include incentives, enabling regulations, and innovative financing models designed to attract both local and international investment.
