Oyo govt fixes date for new Eleruwa’s coronation ceremony

Oyo State Government  has announced that the new Eleruwa of Eruwa, Prince Adebayo Adegbola, will be crowned on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

This was revealed in a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade. He noted that the date was confirmed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo.

According to Oyelade, the coronation ceremony was confirmed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo.

Oyelade said the appointment of Adegbola as the Eleruwa of Eruwa is a reaffirmation of, and dedication to preserving Eruwa’s cultural heritage and also foster unity among the people.

“Beyond its ceremonial importance, the coronation represents the community’s shared dedication to upholding its historical legacy and traditions,” he said.

Oyelade encouraged residents and stakeholders to actively participate in the event, adding that the occasion would help strengthen community bonds and usher Eruwa into a new era of growth and prosperity.
